For those of you who are new here, hi! My name is Grace, and I am the sole proprietor of The Green Aura Boutique. I founded my business to be a genuinely wholistic source for all things spiritual and mundane. I started this business wanting to make a positive impact on the Earth as well as my clientele. Earth Day has always been my favorite holiday, ever since I was climbing trees and gardening with my grandmother at 6 years old. As I grew, I knew I wanted to cultivate, protect and better the Earth as my career. Now, I prioritize providing products that protect the health and wellness of the planet, and people everywhere. To be honest, I had unrealistic expectations when first starting out. My naivety got the better of me when I assumed I'd be an overnight success like so many of these other Etsy brands. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that doing what you love requires more learning and effort than you could ever imagine. The process is an amazing one and I try to lead with gratitude each and every day, despite my miniscule size. For now, let me break down the Earth conscious ways I progress this business.
When it comes to herb bundles, most of the time you'll easily find mass produced, unethically grown and harvest bundles, somehow perfectly cylindrical, that end up sitting on the shelf for years at a time. As a spiritually inclined person just starting out on their journey back in 2016, I yearned for a better option. I quickly started crafting my own spiritual tools and I recognized the quality and efficacy I developed therein. I've cultivated gardening and growing skills since a very young age. Now that I'm grown, sharing that skill with the world has brought me more joy than I can express.
When crafting other herbal products like hair oils, bath shots with homegrown herbs, or handmade herbal tinctures, of course they're always made with organic herbs that I grow myself. However, they're also created with the concept of natural beauty in mind. The intention of wholistic beauty is something I've come to notice rising in my business as well. Herbal medicine treats health issues or symptoms from the inside. Treating physical 'flaws' with organic herbal remedies not only is the healthiest option for humans, but it combats the societal beauty standards and industries instated by patriarchal culture. Using herbal medicine creates a stronger bond with the Earth while also dismantling the toxicity of modern beauty standards. This will become more and more of a highlight in the growing years of this business.
Earth Day will always hold a special place in my heart. The Earth truly is my calling. It's about more than picking up litter once a year and posting for awareness. My heart overflows with the knowing that my cultivation of the Earth's gifts, and caring for her in return, is what my purpose has become. I'm honored to be able to offer healthy options to all those who need it. We all need the Earth. We need to live harmoniously with the ways the Earth has been designed, meticulously, over eons.
